Mocha Jean Herrup’s next project will be a full feature drag king movie “The kings of Texas”, of which she is currently writing the screenplay.

In this podcast Mocha Jean Herrup talks about her new project, the storyline of the movie, the audience for the film, her experience with dragking performance and queer filmmaking in general.

Mocha will be shooting footage for her film at the 8th International Drag King Extravaganza, which will be held in Austin, Texas, October 19th to 22nd this year. She explains why we should all come to IDKE Austin.
